Buyer Beware. No HDCP 2.2 Compatible!!

That's right if you have a 4K TV this does not support HDCP 2.2 which is required for True 4K Output. If all you have is 1080P TV Not a bad Solution, but not for 4K

Beautiful machine. Sounds amazing. Easy controls and flexible with a variety of speaker configurations. We bought a new Sony 4k Bravia to go along with it. The handshake between these two is outstanding with one glaring exception, the DH550 will not pass thru the 4k stream. In fact, 4k's HDCP 2.2 screen is triggered by the DH550 and our 4k dream comes to an abrupt halt. If you're fine with only 1080p. then you'll love the DH550.

I bought this today. There's no manual, and the setup microphone is missing. The store is a 20 minute drive, and I am ticked. With all the space available due to the lack of inputs, the speaker terminals should be spaced out further to make connection easier.

I buy Sony products exclusively for the quality and excellent customer service. Customer service for me is more important than anything, and Sony won my heart over 30 years ago when they took care of my problem lickety split, no hassle.
I needed a 5 CD carousel player, and they searched for a great set up for me. I am thrilled. I am an insomniac, so I get audiobooks, put in five, and it plays all night long, like having someone read me a bedtime story, all night long. Mechanics are close to silent, so you don't hear CD's changing. Delivery was very speedy All in all, I am a very happy Sony customer for life.

Just what I expected from Sony ! ! EXCEPIONAL

I bought this to replace an RCA home theater system that crapped out and I am really excited. I still have the old speakers but this unit makes them sound better then ever. I also just bought a new Sony power subwoofer SA-W2500 and I am really pleased with the way it sounds. Im looking forward to replacing the rest of the speakers with Sonys as my budget allows. The speaker set up was easy and I had it up and running in less time then I thought. As I said an Exceptional receiver

Bought this to power in-wall Dolby 5.1 speakers in the new house. Easy set up. Like the SONY "tie-in" with other products that are SONY. For example, we have a SONY Blu-Ray and TV. One press turns them on if watching a DVD movie. So, staying with the SONY "system" has been a reward. Once in a while I'll experiment but can usually get back to what I've set up pretty easily. Wish I had bought the higher model w/ built-in Wi-Fi & Bluetooth.

Sony STR-DH550, good sound

STR-DH550 is a reasonable Receiver. I do think Sony could have had a better display. I am disappointed this one does not have the "blue" light showing receiver is decoding Dolby Digital. Receiver is easy to setup. Con's no component hookup and another is a problem that until receiver is fully on when hooked up in the "Bravia Sync" mode there is a bogus signal that goes back through HDMI cable and reboots my Dish DVR. I have to make sure DVR is off until receiver is fully on.
