The refrigerator is roomy given it is counter depth. It has plenty of adjustable shelf space. Even the shelves on the door are adjustable. The water and ice dispenser works great.

Nice side-by-side

This side-by-side has more room (shelving) in the refrigerator side than my last one. Roomier. (Only downside = Would like better shelving on the freezer side)

Great mechanically, functionality could be better

Refrigerator functions well and has a great reputation for reliability. It does not use the space well. It could use at least one more shelf in both the freezer and cold storage area, another shelf in the cold storage door, and it could use a deli drawer. Due to the curved front on the shelves, we could not install after-market pull-out drawers. We are putting in shelf organizer racks. The shelf inserts in the freezer door might hold boxes, but they are too short to hold flexible bags. We replaced an LG because we believe that the GE will handle basic temperature control better, but the LG had better user functionality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful look, great features

This GE refrigerator was just installed today so there has been no time for problems to arise. That being said, I’m thrilled! This is a replacement for a GE frig we have had for thirty years which needed a repair for the condenser about ten years ago but otherwise gave great service. It’s still working but beginning to run for long periods of time and has begun to make some noises. So, we shopped around to replace it before it finally stopped and we would have to scramble. The new one fits perfectly, has a black high gloss finish which looks beautiful and purrs like a kitten when starting up. It is a side by side and has essentially the same interior organization of drawers and shelves as the old one which we loved. We have essentially the same storage (about 22 cubic feet) as the old one and all this at competitive pricing. Oh, yeah, there is an improved water and ice dispenser as well as a built-in water filter which the older unit did not have. GE has done it again!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was so pleased to find options of size and color. My previous refrigerator was a GE Profile and provided great service for many years.I find the new design of the ice maker a favorable change as well as the room on the top shelf for tall items. Thank you GE!

AWFUL FRIDGE

overhead lights take up way too much space.
fingerprints are hard to remove, had to replace freezer light 2X in 3 years.
plastic auger that feeds the ice is breaking off in pieces, this is dangerous as the
plastic shards end up in your drinking glass, plus it now takes forever to get ice to drop.
we paid a lot of money but have to replace this unit after only 3 years.
