My old refrigerator was 20 y/o and had some issues. My new GE is smaller and counter depth and It looks better in my kitchen. The clear shelf configuration is more convenient and the door controls are easier to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Second GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator we purchased. We got about 12 years from the last one. Definitely like the profile line of appliances. Our range, double oven and dishwasher are still going strong.

This unit came in our Jayco 5th wheel. Its design is wonderful and easy to adjust. We love the ice maker feature and ease to reach everything !

Bad interior lighting

I just received my new refrigerator on Thursday 9/26 replacing my 22 year old GE one, the lighting in the refrigerator is extremely poor my old incandescent bulb was brighter. The light at the top is the only light for the top shelf it's like looking into a dark cave no happy "frige" raiding for a midnight snack. I thought my eyesight was going bad. I would rather have good lighting and plastic shelves. I will be receiving the rest of the GE appliances in a week. I can only hope for no more disappointments.

Not great!

This fridge has no cold cut drawer. The freezer shelves don't go all the way back so food falls behind. Not enough freezer shelves. Should have one more door shelf. I've had mine for 2 1/2 months and the ice machine overflows/won't stop making ice so Iwill have to call for repair. Shelf in butter compartment is slanted so butter dish slides out. The only reason I bought this one was the other one with the cold cut drawer was so backordered that I had no choice. Would not buy again/recommend.

Just an okay Fridge.

This fridge does the job but not as well as I had hoped. Its very basic and the interior design doesn't not translate well in to everyday use. There is no much wasted space int he freezer section and really does not allow for a lot of storage. The main section is fine, but the basic model didn't not come with a meat and cheese drawer. Like I said, it gets the job done but is not ideal for everyday use from a family of 3 perspective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
