Freezer storage

Lighting inside sucks

The lighting inside really stinks. Should be brighter or get brighter the longer you have the door open (because obviously, you are having issues finding what you are looking for) I also wish there was a snack drawer,quick reach , meat keeper drawer.

All good except one thing...

Love the refrigerator but there is something that I find hard to believe. There is no drawer for deli and cheese items. I have solved the issue by using plastic containers but it is not nearly as convenient as being able to pull out a drawer.

THE PERFECT FIT

When we moved to our new home, the previous owners had a Monster Refrigerator in place (so large it protruded out 8" in front of the counters). We saw no other option - we had to find a suitable counter depth refrigerator for our kitchen (the Monster could easily locate to the garage). The model we selected fits perfectly - it more than meets our needs and is pleasant to look at - we truly like our Side-by-Side Black refrigerator!

Poor Design

This is my 4th GE profile refrigerator (counter Depth). It performs mechanically as well as all my previous refrigerators (no complaint); unfortunately they have made several design changes that have significantly reduced the storage space. The deli drawer has been eliminated. The fridge door shelving does not fit smoothly (drops in back) and any smaller items tip over. The shelves in freezer have limited adjustment.. The placement of freezer lighting reduces the height of top freezer shelf from 12 inches in the front to only 9 inches in the back. If the shelf is lowered the width of the shelving is reduces from 12.5 inches to 11.5 inches (not wide enough for 2 small frozen dinners to set).
Aware going in that counter depth refrigerators have much less storage capacity than a standard refrigerator. However, GE engineers have succeeded in reducing the storage capacity even more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is absolutely on target for a single guy's kitchen. Because the shelves are only so deep, keeping track of what one needs is easily done with a glance. No more mysterious chunks of meat from the last ice age lurking behind the centuries old half empty ice cream cartons in the freezer, for example.

perfect size for dowsizing

I am very happy with my choice of refrigerator. After remodeling our galley kitchen it gave me more space. The refrigerator is compact but holds enough food for the two of us and children who visits frequently (of course meals served).
