Too noisy

Just installed and it is VERY loud. Has this constant noise and rattle to the point it’s driving me insane and makes my head hurt. Do not recommend.

In terms of its functionality (i.e., keeping food cold/frozen) and providing adequate space inside to meet our needs, the refrigerator works well for us. THE PROBLEM we have is that the compressor motor is extremely LOUD and runs often during the day. We have nicknamed the refrigerator "Jaws" because the noise it makes is similar to the music that plays whenever the Great White Shark appears in the movie. This noise can be heard on the floors of our home above and below the first floor where the kitchen is. Fortunately, we've had no visitors to our home since it was installed in July, saving us the embarrassment. Please note that there are only 2 adults of retirement age living here, so there isn't a lot of activity opening the refrigerator each day. If we could add a video with sound to this review, we would, so you fully understand our frustration.

Not so great

Disappointed, two important features lacking that I didn’t realize until I got the refrigerator home. One is a small drawer for small packing, deli & cheese. Another is poor lighting. The bigger disappointment is there is no way to upgrade the refrigerator after purchase. I would like to be able to purchase an additional drawer, but none is available. When using the crushed ice feature, chips collect inside the door and fall off to the floor next time the freezer door is opened.

Terrible water filter

It's not so much the refrigerator as it is the filters. We have had Whirlpool and Kitchen Aide and never had such bad tasting water. It doesn't even remove calcium from the water. Will never buy GE again

Subpar GE PROFILE

Very disappointed that refrigerator lighting is subpar. Need a flashlight to view bottom shelves. Also, missing a tray above the lower trays which we used for cheese & yogurt. Having major difficulty downloading USER MANUAL. Expected better.

I WISH I NOTICED THAT IT HAS ONLY ONE LIGHT IN THE FRIDGE AND FREEZER, AND ITS HUGE IN THE FRIDGE PART AND TAKES UP A FOOT OF SPACE IN THE TOP AND IF YOU PLACE SOMETHING THERE IT BLOCKS OUT THE LIGHT FOR THE REST OF THE FRIDGE, IT ALSO HAS NO DELI DRAWER! MY 2012 WHIRLPOOL WAS WAY BETTER THAN THIS

Is a very good appliance. We are enjoying this refrigerator for the size, smaller than the previous ones but our family size has decreased and this is PERFECT.Everything as far as cooling, energy saving and shelving is good. The ice maker does not make that loud noise like other brands when making the ice. So thrilled we went with GE!!
