Love slate exterior

Quality of refrigerator is poor! The ice maker has broke 4 glasses so far. Very poor ice maker, disappointed. Lighting in bottom of frig, is dark?

The selector buttons are VERY hard to see if there is no bight light in the area.

We chose this refrigerator to replace an exhausted 22 year old GE. This product was the largest side-by-side that we could find to fit into the space. Yet, there iis little shelf room inside either the refrigerator or the freezer. The bins do not readily slide open. Although testing shows that the refrigerator is "flush", the lower shelf tilts forward, and contents tend to fall once the door is opened. But for a 30 year old top freezer unit in our garage, it would be impossible to chill platters or cookie sheets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

not enough drawers

This fridge has no middle drawer for cold cuts or cheese and no egg tray. The interior space is not well laid out in either the fridge or the freezer.

What I needed

I ordered this refrigerator because I had a GE previously and it lasted a long time. I needed counter depth and white and the appearance of this model was good. My main complaint is the lighting. The one light on top does not illuminate the bottom shelves. The same for the freezer. Difficult to see items in bottom drawer due to lack of light.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No storage space for dairy/meats, no butter storage, no slide out drawer! Meat freezer too small can’t see what’s in the back

Screwed and stuck. And I know it.

Just purchased.
The top wire shelf in the freezer is Mickey Mouse
It would be better if it were a fixed shelf.
There should be another fridge shelf or s mid drawer.. but the real reason for the complaint is the UNBELIEVABLY IRRITATING NOISE is puts out.
The compressor emits an excruciating HIGH PITCHED RINGING that makes it impossible to enjoy a quiet relaxing dinner at the kitchen table.
There were only 2 black side by side counter depth refrigerators on the market..and the other brand had a 3 month lead time…
soooo I purchased the GE.
It’s not so easy to JUST take it back.
The problem isn’t that I don’t like it, the problem is the annoying high-pitched ringing it produces.
Soooo I guess I’ll just be annoyed with it.
My only hope is that it blows up within the next few years so I can justify buying a different one.
