We purchased a higher-end version of this model 12 years ago. Though we had problems with it after about 10 years, we loved its profile and utility. We found this similar model with a few less bells and whistles and it has very good reviews and after a month with it, we can see why. We miss the soda rack, and the lower compartment lighting. But it is a good performer. We are happy with this purchase. It's a great value. And it fits into the wall flush with the counters.

attractive but quality control not good

I like this product but the water line was installed incorrectly at the factory and it leaked on my new floor causing damage. The appliance is attractive however. If they correct the problem and the floor I would recommend.

Side by side counter depth

We replaced another, more expensive refrigerator that did not cool adequately. We will stay with side by side, instead of bottom freezer, and with GE. It works wonderfully.

Best Bang for the Buck

The GE Fridge is exactly what my wife and were looking for. It's an upper mid-range offering that's quiet, well designed and efficient.

Nice design, size, functional

Every is good quality, and improvements over fridges 5 years ago. The one complaint we have is the single light in the top of the fridge. The freezer has two, but only one in the fridge. LED string lights would be a very nice upgrade! Otherwise, we're very pleased.

Horrendous interior lighting - very basic model

This fridge as only one LED light in the top, which makes the inside from the middle downward totally dark - it's impossible to find things! What were they thinking?
It is also lacking a cheese drawer or similar - the 2 fresh food drawers are barely enough for veggies. It's almost as if GE reverse engineered a fridge to see what they can take out on the inside and still get away with it. The price is fair, but this must be the most unexciting and impractical fridge I have ever owned. And of course if we wanted to add some parts to the interior to make it more practical, they are super expensive!
We bought this in an emergency and the sales person told us this would be the same as a model they had displayed on the floor, just counter-depth. Shame on us for not checking the features more closely... I wish this was returnable.

GREAT BASIC FEATURES

Just purchased this since we needed a counter-depth model. Basic features are good; drawers and shelves are versatile enough for a small family. Ice dispenser can be a bit messy.
