Poorly designed.

I am very disappointed with the frig. I replaced a 21-year old, also a GE, which was much more user-friendly. The freezer in the new frig has 30 - 40% less storage capacity and no way that I've found to modify it. The light in the refrigerator is too dim. I took a shelf from my old frig to put in the new one on the door. Three drawers in the old frig were much more useful than two big ones in the new one. A kitchen/bath consultant helped pick the model which had to fit into a built-in space and be white. I expected the new model to be at least as good as the old one. I've had GE appliances for decades in several houses so this has been a surprise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The control panel is very informative and easy to use. great icemaker, dispenser and water dispenser. Easy to locate items inside the refrigerator and freezer.

Just so you know, I went about three months before buying a new refrigeratorm I settled on this GE appliance because of its long history of good products. I go in the refrigerator several times during the day because I just love it. Very convenient and I just enjoy looking at it and looking in it.

Come with only one year warranty and in a little more than 2 years mine has broken twice
