This refrigerator works very well in maintaining a good temperature all through out. The alarm on the doors being opened for too long is also a good feature.

I like the amount of shelving this fridge has to offer, along with the timer. I never have to worry about possibly forgetting the door open.

Refrig handles are hallow and echo. Ice/water tray is plastic. I would have expected More substantial finishes for the price. My last GE refrig had more substantial finishes, why I went with GE again. Disappointing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

There are a lot of refrigerators that can be considered ergonomically designed and cost efficient. Ours is that, but most important, I buy only GE appliances because they work well for a very long time, and I've been a homeowner for 50 years.

Our previous (and very old!) refrigerator was on it's way out and after much research, but not wanting to spend an exorbitant amount on a new one, we decided on this one and it is perfect for our needs.
