Size and appearance is appealing. Only draw back is the lighting is not proportion throughout so it is dark in some places.

I enjoy my new GE Refrigerator, it has cold water, ice maker and makes crushed ice and cubes. It is very easy to clean too.

looks good, noisy, poor lighting

Most refrigerators we wanted were out of stock or back ordered. Chose this one as it was available. Since it was more expensive, we thought it would be a better quality than the lower priced similar similar model from GE. Don't know about the quality of the lower priced model, but are disappointed with this model. Main objection is the noise, as it is worse than the old one it replaced. Lighting is less than what you would expect in the most basic of models. One large light at the top does not provide light for lower shelves and bins. Water and ice indicators are also difficult to see with the small dot light provided. Our fault for not viewing a showroom model, but still would have not known of the noise problem, as other reviews have indicated it is quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice fridge

Overall I am happy with this purchase, everyone who sees it is impressed. It really is a very nice fridge. Unfortunately it makes a lot of noise making ice and maintaining itself (I know that is worded funny). I think almost everyone is used to the sound of tan Ice maker dropping ice, but this thing will make a load bang about 5 minutes after it drops the ice. It also likes to make an odd sound, like a groan when it opens and closes a check valve (I found several others who have complained of the same sounds, only to find out they are "normal operating" sounds).
