Love the flexibility and was easy to install

Cable just kept going up and we really never watched most of the channels so I bought an antenna for local live tv and a roku for all other content. It is awesome and I can't believe how easy it was to install into our wifi network.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not what expected

Our last Roku kept freezing. Decided to replace it w/another Roku 2. They changed the connections, now we can't even hook it up to out TV because it is an older model does not have HDMI.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No audio output!!!!...(except through HDMI)

I received this Roku as a promotion for subscribing to Sling TV. I had a Roku 1 that I was looking to move to another TV, but the Roku 2 cannot be used in its place. My original Roku had analog audio outputs that I used to send the audio to a sound bar (with analog, digital (optical) and bluetooth). Since the Roku 2 was free with Sling TV, and I was already planning on getting Sling TV for the NCAA basketball tournament, I didn't bother researching the Roku 2. When it arrived, I found no way to get the audio signal to my sound bar (my TV also has no audio output, other than its own speakers, for some reason). The new Roku 2 was virtually useless for this reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku 2 who knew?

I have been aware of Roku for quite some time but just thought it was another streaming device. Then I found out that it allows you to search all of the streaming services for the item you are looking for and lets you know how much and where without you having to go into each streaming app and search. That alone sold me. I purchased the Roku 2 and it has been fantastic. It streams faster, opens apps quicker and is great quality. I am still discovering new channels and music and features. I should have got it sooner. I have had Chromecast and Amazon Fire and separate VUDU, NETFLIX and Amazon streaming apps. The Roku 2 has changed the way I watch TV. I may cut the cable cord soon!
