This is my first foray into streaming and I love it. I especially appreciate the simplicity of the remote control device. Navigation is also quite intuitive. My suggestion would be to omit the shortcut buttons for Netflix, etc. from the remote device - these are hardly needed since these choices are available on the home screen. Those button locations could be used to control the TV (for example to change the TV input from the Roku to antenna or alter sound volume). Such a change would eliminate the need to use another remote device to perform those functions.
But.... Still it is a great device and I love it. I still have cable TV but plan to ditch it in the near future.

Overall the box is easy to setup and operate although organizing or searching is not possible. Why have a favorites setting that you can't pull up? Also, the menu constantly freezes so I have to wait for the screen to reload.

Amazing choice of channels

I wanted to "cut the cord" not only because of the increasing cost of cable, but because the content has deteriorated so much. I chose Roku chiefly because it's not tied to any streaming service. I have found free channels to replace most of what I want to see on cable, & I love the "on demand" style of most channels.

I got this unit from Sling TV. It comes with dedicated buttons to connect to Sling, Netflix, Amazon TV and Rdio.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this a few weeks ago. Moved the Roku 1 to another room. Roku 2 connects and responds faster. Very happy with all Roku products.
