horrible remote control

we received this a month ago and the only plus was that it allowed us to access sling on our tv. The remote functions horribly you have almost no control over it except the home button that allows you to start from the beginning and pick a show, if you want to arrow back you cannot and sometimes during a show it will just stop or go to another show. We have other tv's that we use our phones as remotes and it is much more user friendly. I honestly hate the roku remote control!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm not missing my cable TV at all!!! After buying one for the living room, went back and bought one for the bedroom.

I got this system about a month ago and I am able to watch all my shows like The walking Dead and next month The game of Thrones. Couldn't be more excited....

I bought this roku 2 for using with Sling Tv. It does a great job. Also much better than my smart tv for watching stuff on amazon prime video. I also downloaded the Roku app on my iphone, and now I never have to worry about searching for the remote. I just open the app, and my iphone is the remote.

works well with sling

Signed up for Sling TV and at first was using a Chromecast device. Sling TV reception was very poor with lots of skips and delay. The Roku 2 solved that immediately. Reception is excellent! Enjoy all the new channels I can access also!

Everything I expected

I decided to cut the cable and after much research purchased the Roku 2 for streaming. Easy to set up so far no problems. Decided to order a Roku 3 for the Motorhome.

freezes up occasionally. I think it gets too hot. One day I'll get to around to figure out how to deal with that. otherwise its a great alternative to cable/satellite tv
