Easy to use, infinite options

Recently cut the cord and got a Roku (along with some streaming subscriptions). The device is beyond easy to set up. If you can hook up a DVD player or a Playstation, you can hook up a Roku. Finding channels can be daunting (there's literally thousands of options), but there's dozens of categories and ways to narrow your search. How much you get out of it depends on how much you're willing to spend and sacrifice. You'll need multiple services if you're a TV junkie, and you'll always be a couple days behind the rest of the world, so, unfollow your favorite shows now! If you like movies, the sky's the limit. All in all, a good purchase for cord-cutters as long as you know how to work the system.

Nice Streaming Player with some performance issues

Comes with huge library of apps & channels, however I bought it only for sling app which is not available for my Samsung UHD latest model TV :-( .
Most commonly used apps usually already comes with TV software.
Picture quality is good. Remote is very intuitive & easy to use , however some buttons are confusing like back button on the top.
Most of the time booting up is fine but some time switching between channels or apps takes some time which is annoying. It should come with HDMI cable.

Works great for MLB.TV

I previously had a Roku 2 given as a gift. I purchased a second Roku 2 for another HDTV in another room. They both work fine. I had to also purchase a more powerful modem-Wi-Fi Router for extended range coverage to achieve optimum performance (less loading interruptions).
I would recommend this to a friend!

No problems hooking unit up - take unit out of box, plug it in to power it up, sit back and enjoy. Unable to evaluate value of product as it is only one week old.

Better Apps

I actually got mine for free when I signed up for Sling. I have had it for about a month now and I really can't complain about this device. It provides me with way more apps than my TV and has a stronger WIFI connection. I don't know if I would have purchased this device at first but I will say that I am glad to have gotten it.
