Great box as long as you subscribe to at least one pay service like amazon prime or netflix , the provided provided "free" channels are ok , but lots of repeating commercials.
The box itself is fast and easy to navigate .

Great video quality

This unit is replacing a Roku 2XS which had the RF remote. Initially I wondered why my new unit didn't respond to the remote unit I realized it was infrared. Perhaps a note in the manual would be helpful.

We are very happy with our Roku 2. We love the new buttons for Netflix, Amazon, and Sling! Makes it so much easier to get where we want to.

The picture clarity is sketchy at best

I got the Roku 2 for free with my Sling TV membership. I've noticed that all the channels will be clear for a about an hour and then become incredibly blurry. It's still watchable, but annoying when you are paying to watch shows. Any important shows, I have to go to my mom's if I want to watch it with any sort of visual clarity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
