SO MUCH BETTER than my smart TV

I bought my Roku 2 roughly two weeks ago because my brand new smart TV did not run Netflix/Amazon/Hulu smoothly at all. The apps would never load and my TV would freeze. My new Roku 2 fixed that instantly!

My first streaming device

I received this Roku 2 as a Mother's Day gift...along with a tutorial from my daughter. I have been able to get most of what I want. I do think that you should have an on/off switch. Unplugging it every time I use it is inconvenient. I am 75 and just "okay" in using the electronics of today.

Got it for Mother's Day from my grown children and used it all weekend to watch some Last Train to Halafax and The Fall.

Was using two Sony BluRay players to stream. They couldn't keep up. After lots of comparison shopping, went with the new Roku 2. Am totally in love. Super easy, super convenient. Have had it two weeks on my main TV. This afternoon, going to buy my second one for the bedroom TV. No regrets! Great value for the price.

Cable bills keep going up while content quality keeps going down,started to realize that every time I actually sat down to watch TV for awhile it was online with the x-box. Decided to give ROKU a try and give the old X a break. VERY HAPPY! I don't need to see the very latest shows or flicks, and any thing I watched on cable I can find on the roku .I do have net flix and prime for most stuff but I have been enjoying the free channels also. No over heating issues with mine so far and I leave it on all night most times.If I could make one suggestion it would be this: I'm a senior citizen who did not grow up with texting and tiny buttons,if you guys would offer a larger remote to those who want it I would be so happy.

Love the new user interface!

I just bought the new Roku 2 model a few weeks ago. I already own the previous generation Roku 2. I have one for each TV in separate rooms. I love the new user interface/software on this generation. I love how the menu is updated and show/movie information is displayed. The only downfall is the remote seems to not respond as quickly as the previous generation Roku 2. I'm not sure if it's my environment or the unit/remote itself. It's not a big deal, as I am seeing if it's my room.

nice viewing platform

bought a few weeks ago and primarily use it for netflix. the viewing platform for playing netflix videos is really nice and I'm glad they've included the autoplay next episode feature which is not found on all devices. also am glad it has the crunchyroll video app available which is apparently hard to come by on many of devices.
