I bought this so I could watch my Amazon Prime on a television instead of my iPad. Since then, I've also added Acorn TV and a few others. While I'm not interested in Netflix or Hulu, I still think it's great for the reason I originally purchased it.

I bought the Roku 2 two weeks ago. We are so happy about how easy Roku made it to "cut the cable cord". We chose the Roku 2 so we could directly hook the internet into the Roku box. We have used it both wirelessly and wired and have had no problems with streaming either way. Roku has just made this whole process so easy. Friends come over to our house and love the set up that Roku has.
