Easy to set up, but..... The device needs to be reset before each use.... which for my installation requires I climb a step stool to unplug, there is no reset button. The website has no easy way of communicating with the device. Not as user friendly as advertised
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good start for cutting cable tv.

The jury is still out but much prefer the Roku to cable. It does have problems with live tv for CBS All Access and Hulu, it keeps knocking me off and going back to main menu. This is especially irritating when it keeps happing in the middle of watching the shows, can't rewind live tv.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had a small problem

I bought the Roku to watch a specific channel. I got the code, etc, and put it in. Then, it would not give me a picture, only sound. I had to call Roku to fix it. It works now, and I am pleased with it.

Roku2 series upgrade.

Both series 2 systems were purchased to upgrade from two older Roku streamers.
The two newer ones are quicker to respond to "On Demand" and live video. Also less rebooting due the cable data.

Finally, Acorn tv on my tv

This was easy to install and easy to use. I bought another casting type device trying to get Acorn TV and no dice. I am so very happy with the roku2, wish I had bought this first.

I have an Amazon Fire stick also, but now for some reason I have to unplug the roku from the tv for the fire stick to work correctly. Never had trouble with the fire stick before.
