Two things I love about it

I bought this Roku a month ago after using the older XS model. I was a bit skeptical whether to purchase this model or the Roku 3 because I've read reviews where the remote on the Roku 2 (2015 model) wasn't very responsive and had to be pointed directly at the Roku device. However, I haven't experienced any problems whatsoever using the remote with my Roku. I have my Roku 2 set up right in front of my TV so that probably eliminates any problems with not being able to point the remote at it. I like the matte texture of the remote, much better design choice than the glossy fingerprint magnet remote from the older Roku's. As for the shortcut buttons on the remote, I wish there was an option to customize which channels you want for these buttons because out of the 4, I only ever click on the Netflix button.
Coming from using the XS model, the Roku 2 (2015 model) is a total upgrade, way speedier than before - no lags or pauses when adding or selecting channels. Setting up all my channels with my login & passwords was very speedy and within half an hour I had all my settings and channels set up to my liking. Previously, the Netflix app on the XS would only allow one user account to be used, but with this model, I'm able to switch between user accounts. It's a much welcome change and I absolutely love that the Netflix channel UI matches with Netflix with every other platform now! I only wished there with more "legit" or "premium" channels available. It would be nice to have Syfy again.

Best way to watch TV

I took back the Google streaming device for ROKU 2 fir the enhanced apps. I LOVE IT. Easy set-up, plenty of entertainment value.

This is my second Roku which I bought for another TV. I would not have considered anything else. I love all the different channels that you can get that I know are not available on other devices.
I watch a few odd ones, I guess. I love Sky News from London and I love watching my PBS shows when I want to. I am also hooked on the Poker channel, Pandora, National Geographic and lots, lots more.
If you add Netflix which is pretty inexpensive you just don't need cable anymore.

I've been wanting to get some kind of streaming device and went with Roku because of all the great reviews. It was so easy to hook up and program and I am totally non tech savvy at all. The cost was also very reasonable. No regrets!
