This is our 2nd roku 2 and you can really tell they improved the processor over the early generation. For the price, it is the best of the available devices out there for any cord cutter. No reservations.

After having our Tivo cancel our lifetime subscription and rates raised on us, we decided to go full streaming for TV and movies, so we bought a Roku. It was incredibly easy to set up and navigate through programing options. Since the only purpose of Roku is streaming video, it was incredibly fast compared to our previous setup. There is no monthly Roku fee. You only pay for the streaming providers you want (Hulu, Netflix, HBO Now, etc). We ended up getting one for every TV. It works great.

I bought my Roku 2 along with an HDTV antenna to "cut the cord" and get away from cable TV. I didn't even know that much about Roku at the time, but it seems like a good option. I was amazed at the free (and pay) content that's out there.

This is my second Roku 2. I bought the first for my vacation cabin where I don't have/can't get cable and didn't want satellite. While I only have DSL for internet it works fine and the Roku along with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video allow me to watch all the tv I want. I bought this one for my fulltime home where I do have UVerse but wanted the other features the Roku can add. 4 stars because this newer model doesn't have the headphone jack in the remote - that's a nice feature I wish wasn't deleted.

ROKU'S GREAT!

We have Netflix and Amazon, but could only see them on the computer or a DVD. Now we stream what we want, with NO COMMERCIALS! Yaayyy! I am no tecchie... but had no problem setting this up, and now we can view wonderful stuff we missed (or MUST see again!).

It works well, but I needed customer support to get it set up. There customer service chat feature was very good. The voice search app does not work well.

Love Roku!

I upgraded from the Roku SE to the Roku 2 mainly because I wanted the USB port so I could play my own content. I also own a Roku Stick. I think Roku is the best media streamer available. Easy setup. User friendly. Lots of content.
