I had the standard Roku and saw the ads for the Roku 2, and Roku 3. We decided we didn't want to talk to the TV so we got the Roku 2. We love it, there are so many options. Well Done!

Better than my smart tv

My Panasonic smart tv does not have many apps beyond Netflix, Amazon, Vudu and YouTube. With the Roku I have found those same channels load faster and buffer less. I have found several other channels on Roku that have been really interesting to watch.

I have stop cable and enjoying watching a lot more. Wife enjoys the Korean Drama as I do as well. But One needs to be careful and not get hooked on this Drama. It is very easy to get caught up with them. The one thing that would be nice would to be able to get CBS without a monthly fee. There is not one for Fox, ABC, NBC and others. Also enjoy the old comedy shows. Although there are not a lot of commercials as with cable. It would be nice if there was not any or repeating them three or more times back to back. But over all this is great. It would be great to get all games without being charge a fee (NFL)

Great Features and Great Apps!

We love our one week old Roku, the function is very intuitive and no issues with choices as Roku has an enormous number of affiliates from which to choose. The remote is also very easy to operate and we are considering getting a Roku for Grandma - it really is that easy.
Only 4 stars were awarded because the search is manual and requires input letter by letter or number by number. It seems weird because everything else is so advanced. Maybe the Roku 3 with voice search might solve this issue.

Great device

I bought this about a month ago to replace an older Roku 2. I was glad to see that instead of being simply wireless it had ethernet connection. It turned out that there wasn't anything wrong with my first Roku, but I was having trouble with my wireless router. I decided to keep the new one because of the ethernet connection and passed the older one along to my daughter.

Bought it for Plex streaming

I've had this player for a month and it works well. The apps work well and it is easy to use. However, the Plex app is dated. There is supposedly an update coming, but is not here as of yet. This is one of the few players that has an ir remote, which is the reason I bought it. It is compatible with my harmony remote.
