Installation was quick and mainly conducted by the device itself. The only input I needed to supply was to complete the IP address for out wireless router

Never a disappointment!

I have always had Roku from the beginning and it just keeps getting better! The Roku 2 is fast, faster than my old XS. The remote is good, but I miss the "point anywhere" remote. The good thing though is that my toddler cannot accidently press a remote button and change things, he needs to point to the TV and that is a blessing sometimes!
Youtube app is a lot more stable and a lot faster than on the old one. Solid so far!

Fabulous New Roku 2

This is the third Roku I've purchased. One great thing is that because each different Roku model has different features I can get the device for a specific need, viewing area, tv type and so forth.
I got the new Roku 2 for the enhanced speed which is great! The processing speed seems about the same as the Roku 3 and it's helpful that the interfaces are the same with the two devices. All features are as advertised!
The only drawback with the New Roku 2 is the remote control. The original radio signal remote is so much better. There's some initial lag time as though the remote and the Roku have to reconnect each time I use them. Also, I have to point the remote VERY directly at the Roku in order to operate. The responsiveness of the remote/Roku device is a slow, much slower than the original remote. I never used the headphone jack, so that's not an issue.

Coming from a Sony Blu Ray, I feel I've at least entered the outer gates of heaven. I see why the isps kept saying the player was the problem. Oh well.
