I've always been impressed with Roku. My Father has one and we also had on in my graduate house during college. The only thing I don't like about the Roku 2 I just bought is that when I click on a show or movie it starts to play right away. I've seen other versions where when you click it takes you to an information page and then the viewer can select for the program to begin rather than it starting automatically.

Lots of options, easy to use

The Roku 2 is great. I didn't need to options of the 3 or 4, and this was cheaper than those. There are a lot of apps to choose from. You must know somebody who buys tv from a provider in order to get most of the channels, unless you subscribe to netflix, hulu, hbo, etc. I use iTV3 as my provider, and sometimes it does not show as an option when trying to link the app to the tv service, which is VERY annoying. They need to update their list of providers. This is my only complaint, and the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Had this over about two months, easy to install work well, enjoyed many movies. I return it for a refund. Why, because we couldn't get live channels. I missed ESPN, to get this station I would have a cable network. I could have got it but would have to pay $25.00 a month. Wanted to get CBS, to get CBS live I had to pay $5.95 a month. For $60 a month more I went back to cable. If you want just movies, Roku is the way to go.

Love love this product. I had the old old model and it was so slow , this one is very fast , clear pictures and easy to navigate. Very happy.

So Much to Offer

I brought this a few weeks ago to replace my Apple TV because RoKu had Acorn TV which we love. As an added benefit we found that RoKu has much more to offer than Apple. I am enjoying all the options available.

Very pleased! Glad to get rid of the Satilite bill! The only thing is I wish it had parental controls to make sure my kids don't get into any adult contents.
