It's always on and ready!

Easy to use alturnative to network tv. There is a lot of free programing that comes with it. Nice to be able to watch something in 1080i format without having to pay extra to your cable provider. We already had a Net Flix subscription so that was a bonus for us.

In general, seems to do the job for which it was intended. For some reason, I have to frequently 'reset' it by disconnecting the power cord. Frequently, when pressing one of the scroll left/right buttons, it will scroll two or three frames instead of just one. However, we do manage to enjoy movies that we have never seen before - and without commercials!

The Roku gives all the necessities of a TV plus more and has allowed me to have HBO go! The movie rental shop is also a great way to get movies at home.

Works Great (once you are past the initial set-up)

I'm happy now! The initial set-up was more difficult (for me) than expected, primarily due to the lack of proper finger / eye coordination, trying to enter info, such as passwords, on the screen, using the tiny arrow keys on the controller. No problems after that! Enjoying the movies several nights a week.

I love it so far, there is alot to chose from and I think it will take awhile (for me anyway) to compare cost to cable and switch some stuff. But I think it is definitely a great alternative.

Bought the roku for Netflix and Hulu although I have a smart tv just never could get the apps to work like I thought they should the tiny solved my issues the stand alone product is far superior then the apps on tv go buy one today you won't be disappointed
