Cutting the Cable

Tired of the cable bill (which just keeps going up and includes channels I don't even want) I decided to try a Roku 2. Not only does it open the door to "free" TV and movies, there are also reasonably priced services like Netflix, Sling TV, and Hulu. Impressed, I bought another Roku 2 and then received a third for free for signing up for a three-month Sling TV trial (what a deal).
The only issue I've had is intermittent wireless signal loss for one TV which is at the opposite end of the house and one floor up from my wireless router. That's more a hardware problem rather than a Roku 2 deficiency. I'll run a network wire to it to solve that problem.

I love this! it only flaw is it freezes, and there is no off switch so you have to unplug it to restart it.

NEW ROKU 2

Replaced an older ROKU LT with a NEW ROKU 2.
One of THE BEST decisions I ever made. While my older ROKU LT still worked, I wanted an upgrade. This New ROKU 2 has an ethernet port, a USB 2 interface, dual WiFi and better, faster interactions. YouTube access has been improved and is quicker and the choice of using either WiFi or a 'hardline' ethernet connection direct to my modem/router is a great feature that has helped me. 5 out of 5 Stars! Recommend to All.

The only thing it doesn't have is a on-off button. I would like to be able to turn off that bright LED at night when crashed on couch. I am saving 65$ a month without the cable monster.
