The Best Buy for the Dollar

I bought the Roku 2 for one reason, to see if my Apple TV was getting a signal after installing a Booster in line and replacing the original unit that was Still losing a Signal. The Roku 2 is a KILLER STREAMER. It works just fine Without a Rooster in line. Great Product.

I like the speed improvement most of all. I like the new interface. I love the way it skips ahead to the beginning of the next show when watching one episode right after the other bypassing all the "previously on..." and the intros. Being able to use profiles is fantastic. One feature I'd like to see incorporated is the ability to rate a show "Not interested". I can only do that through my computer's browser interface to Netflix. Good job!

Had an HDMI stick that was great till my ISP couldnt keep my stream speed level.... The ethernet port allows great streaming!!!!

fast and responsive

I bought a 'smart' tv and used Netflix. every button push took time to happen. scroll up or down and it always took time. Roku is supper fast, everything happens exactly when you push the button. and you have continuous playback by which I mean when a show starts, it just plays to the end, instead of constant rebuffering/ reloading.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great alternative to cable

Was kind of waiting to buy a roku player b/c I have gotten by with other systems such as a smart tv & ps3, but I am glad to own the Roku 2 player. It is nice to have a bunch of great apps to get access to TV shows, movies, & music all in one place. Roku operates at a pretty fast speed which is nice when switching from app to app. Lastly, I just found out that it can read movies, photos, & music via its USB port. All & all, I am very happy to have My Roku player.

Solid connection

I bought this unit to stream to an outdoor projector that is not presently wired to cable. The 5GHz connection is rock-solid, even though my router signal has to pass through an interior plaster and an exterior stucco wall. I've been pleasantly surprised by the available content as well.

Great substitute for high priced cable!

I bought this a week ago and love it so far. With the Roku channels, along with subscriptions to Netflix and HuluPlus, I can see everything I would watch on cable! Only thing missing is live news.
