I purchased the Roku 2 recently because the netgeo one I had died on me. I like the fact that it has so many channels available. However, I did not like the fact that I was obligated to provide my credit card information to be able to use the unit. I am fearful of finding random or unexpected charges that are unauthorized. I already pay for my Netflix and Hulu on a monthly basis The other thing I don't like is the fact that to turn off the unit I literally have to unplug it because there is no on/off button on the remote which makes absolutely no sense to me. I would appreciate it if you fixed that issue and sent me a remote that allows me to shut it off when I need to.

Device works well. We don't really watch much.
It would be nice if the remote had simple features to control TV power and volume.
I would recommend the newest versions to friends rather than the Roku 2.

Bad sound, can't understand voices

I had unit installed by a professional as I am not technology talented. After he left I noticed that the sound was not understandable. Lots of interference . It will cost me $175.00 to have another housecall and they can't guarantee results, so I just gave up and do not use the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great all in one unit

I bought this because my internet chip in the smart tv went out so we could not stream anything. My aunt has a Roku and told us of it and we got it. Loved it since then.
