Learning curve,ahhh

Bought this a while ago because my other roku was going to the pure land. Have had trouble with controls, but I am learning them.
This is a big also. I had to use my iCloud address because I could not access my old account to use it. Good thing because charge card expiration date needed to be changed. Really wish I could have dealt with this to keep gmail address.

Works better than expected

Got one to make my non smart tv better and then signed up for sling tv and got a second one to add more features to my smart tv. Seems to works better for Netflix and you tube.

I bought this because on my old ROKU I had to keep unplugging it because it wouldn't let me go into the selections. I still have to do that with this new one. Very frustrated!

good and bad

i love my roku for tnt original shows on TNT, hgtv, travel, fyi, diy, and other stations such as these. adding these stations to regular cable would have cost me a fortune. Now I enjoy watching tv shows I want to watch (at a very good price) instead of non stop channel surfing with regular basic cable because there was nothing good on. i love the marathons of holmes makes it right, holmes inspection, flip or flop, and fixer upper.
now for the bad. i rented a movie, my card was charged, i tried to watch it and the movie 'was unavailable'. secondly, i am missing tv shows i was really looking foward to. history channel had two shows (ice road truckers and swamp people) that I used to love watching with extended cable. these shows are not there. i have yet to see them listed.
I have a weak wifi signal so I did have to buy a data cord to attach roku directly to my modem for a direct internet connection for better quality. for stations such as cbs and nbs you need the digital antenna, which i am fine with. at least my bill with roku will remain the same going forward. (i chose roku because for the last six months my cable kept going up by 10-20 bucks every month with no explanation)

Get rid of Cable!!

I decided I didn't want to spend big bucks on a cable company for hundreds of channels I never watch. With the Roku 2 I can watch all of my favorite tv shows and movies using my streaming accounts.
