I bought one. Now I own three. Roku and sling tv let me cut the cord with minimal cost.

Previously owned earlier models which be since given to my daughter purchased this one simply because it was one of the units allowing you to stream Sonys PSVue . The ROKU is far easier to use than the Apple TV I wish I'd never purchased. I see no drawbacks at all. Hope to add another one for another room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We got our Roku 2 as part of a Sling TV offer (free by paying for three months of Sling TV). The Roku is fast and responsive, has a great channel selection (that only gets better by the day), inexpensive, and gets us a step closer to never having to deal with cable companies again!
