Great alternative to cable

I bought the Roku about 5-6 weeks ago as an alternative to cable. I wanted to be able to stream Hulu and Netflix - while saving lots of money. I am very satisfied with this product and the number of channels they have available to stream for free. I have not purchased any of the extras yet - like HBO. Since I don't have specific cable shows that I must see - this is the perfect choice for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than Apple TV

I have had this for a couple of months and love it. I replaced my Apple TV because it couldn't get Acorn TV and other channels I wanted. It was a good decision. It's great

Poor actual free channel selection. Live tv... isn't at all (and I'm not talking about buffering)

An Entertainment Universe

A large screen tv at a great price - but not Smart, and tired of paying too much for so many channels of nothing we like. Connected Roku: quick and easy. Now we have a great variety of visual entertainment at minimal cost. Tried Fire and it didn't work. Also Chrome is good but you need your phone as a remote. Roku has its own remote. Now our TV is smart and so are we.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love all the features. Very user friendly. Easy to setup. Fast retrieval when turn it on. Great binge watching. Takes you right in to next episode.

Cut the Cable TV Cord with Roku2

Bought this to keep the internet connection and drop expensive cable TV. Super easy install: 6 volt plug-in adapter, HDMI cable to TV (or home theater receiver) and Wi-Fi OR CAT5 patch cord to the router - and you are good to go. Hundreds of free channels, and you can subscribe to Hulu, Sling HBO, Showtime etc.
