Might as well pay for cable

Easy to use for a novice with limited skills.

Got rid of dish because I was paying for over 100 channels and only watching 5 or 6. With roku, I am able to pick my channel or shows and not pay an outrageous price.

Bought Roku 2 & cancelled cable co. Best decision I've made lately! I was tired of my cable rates going up frequently...Roku 2 to the rescue!!!

The intuitive yet simple little box for your home

Considering the usefulness of the box , it's a great way to save from standardized cable. I also like the amazon fire stick however, in its locked version, the Roku 2 seems to prevail in every comparison. The Roku is NOT for someone who wants to flip through channels all day but it is for the home-bodied person who enjoys variety in what they watch and desires full control over what they want to watch. It is very easy setting up and requires little to no expertise of computer knowledge let alone Wi-Fi information. Once you have an HDMI cable you are prepared to enjoy streaming heaven.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our family decided it was time to cut the cord, and after much research we decided to purchase a Roku 2. Awesome selection of channels, and very easy to use. 2 complaints: no on/off power button, and occasionally undesired (not kid friendly) movies/shows will be advertised on the home screen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I waited too long before purchased mine. Shipping time was minimal, installation was a snap, programming is easy. Directions are to the point. A GREAT product..

The (new) Remote is Junk - A step back in time.

If you're used to the old roku RF remote , you'll be disappointed with the new roku 2 . The remote is infrared, yes that old remote technology from the past. You must have a direct line of sight and be close to the base for the roku remote to work, the remote makes the overall user experience unpleasant. Other than that the faster chip and memory is a improvement , but wait til they figure out the remote.
