Great features and easy to use!!

I purchased Roku 1 month ago for the main purpose to allow to view Netflix and Pandora from our television. We ABSOLUTELY love Roku and how easy it is to enable the use of Pandora and Netflix but now also can see how many other wonderful channels and applications it offers. I think we may be looking to cancel our DirectTV soon and save a lot of $$$$ as we an get what we need from Roku for a lot less!

Just compiles things you can find yourself anyway

I thought the Roku had access to content on it's own. All it does is combine things you can find on the internet by yourself, anyway. It was a waste of money for me. I don't get what all the fuss is about. I was hoping for access to some foreign movie content most of all. As a matter of fact, I still have to hook my laptop up to my TV through HDMI, anyway, when I want to watch free Hulu content. This thing only works for Hulu if you are paying for a Hulu Plus subscription. I gave it two stars only because the screen clarity does come out a tad better than my laptop. When I search the internet for private channels I may want to watch (Funny or Die, for example) it's already been removed as a valid channel for some reason. I don't mind watching commercials at all if I can get some free movies or tv, but this doesn't even have access to the live stream of major networks like ABC, CBS or NBC. Unfortunately, in my area, and HD Antennae doesn't work well for that access. I guess I'll have to keep paying outrageous cable costs for a while longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I already had a Roku 3-bought Roku 2 for my wife's TV in her office- just as terrific as my Roku 3.

Goodbye Monthly Satellite Bill!

I'm so glad not to be paying for cable or satellite anymore because with my Roku 2, I'm not missing anything! So many apps and channels to choose from! Also turns my flat screen to a smartscreen! Easy to use! I'm completely satisfied!
