Great new features and speed

I recently replaced my 5 year old Roku with a new Roku 2. I am pleased with the speed, allowed and picture clarity.i had returned an apple box which lacked many of the features and more importantly the ease of use of Roku products. a very happy customer of 5-6 years!

My contract with a satellite TV service will expire in July and I cannot wait to cancel the service. Roku has so many free or very reasonably priced stations, it is never difficult to find something good to watch. Thank you Roku!!

I bought the Roku 2 after deciding to cut to "cable cord". We also have an Apple TV that we use for our iPhones. But I prefer the Roku. There are more apps to choose from and you can get somethings on the Roku that aren't offered with the Apple TV. These apps offer live streaming of certain cable channels. Thanks to the Roku, my family has been able to cut cable and not miss it at all.

Easy to use

The Roku 2 is very easy to install and to use. The remote is responsive and not overly crowded with useless buttons. I purchased the Roku to supplement my OTA channels. However, very few of the 2000+ channels are totally free. Most channels require a cable subscription (go figure!) or are pay-per-view. Also, many of the channels have outdated programming. In spite of the limited contents, I am happy with the Roku because it gives me a few more channels that I did not have.

Great device, needs work

There are a few channels that need updating on this device: Spotify and Crackle specifically, among others. Spotify is in desperate need of an update to include My Music, Radio, and Spotify Connect. Crackle crashes mid-show and turns the screen to black, causing the device to jump back to the home screen. I'm not sure if these issues are in the process of being fixed/updated, but if they are changed soon I will change my rating to 5 stars because other than that I absolutely love my Roku!

It's faster than my old Roku 2. It also give you a choice of either wired or wireless connection to internet.

Have a smart tv that doesn't deliver as promised. Turned off it's internet function and started using the Roku 2. Very satisfied now.
