Simple

I bought this to use on my 70" smart tv. The built-in apps were just too frustrating to use; frequent errors, really slow, and nowhere near as many apps. I had a Roku 3 in the bedroom and it was just far superior to what was installed in the tv. Not having a need for voice commands, wifi remote, or headphones, and the increased processor speed, I went with the 2 and have no regrets. Love it.
The only negative is signing into all of the services again but that is no fault of Roku.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this to replace a smart blue ray player for on line content. This is so much faster than the Blue Ray that it replaced.

Other than the wireless connectivity issues out of the box this thing rules. Just plug in an Ethernet to do the initial setup and its gravy

Superior Performance

I love my Roku 2. It outperforms my gaming console for streaming video, and is much easier to use. It loads quickly, and gives the feel of just "watching TV." Important to note that the NEW Roku 2 is a huge improvement from earlier models in regard to load time and streaming consistency. I replaced an older Roku 2 which still works well, but isn't as fast as the newer one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
