Better than the old Roku 2!

I have an older Roku 2 which is very good and still have but I just got the newer version for another TV and it is fantastic! As good as last years Roku 3, fast and excellent picture quality. Like the ethernet port (which I use) and the USB and SD card slot for more features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got it a week ago & had a hard time hooking it up so i could watch Netflix on it . After 2 day's working with it got it to load & I had to run a Phone wire to the Roku 2 be 4 it started working . I wanted it wireless but i could not . The routers is just inthe door way into my bed room & it would not pick a signal up .

Wanted to be able to stream Acorn but not spend too much the Roku 2's our go to now. Faster and easier than our smart TV. Love it!

Chose the Roku 2 because: the "stick" needs a remote and "has" one if you use your mobile device. BZZT! (nope. too much hassle). ... Roku 3 has a nice (with "extras") remote, and I don't need local headphone plugs, nor some of the other stuff is has as "extras." *And* it costs something like $40 more than the Roku 2. ... CHOICE: Roku 2. Easy install. Cute, highly functional remote. The Roku service gives me what I want beyond the staples of Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc = Subscription service to CBS. ... I'VE CUT THE CORD! And, I'm happy(er) for doing so. Thanks, Roku!

Works well with the HD tv in my house but i wish that there is Roku that has an eithernet port and an composite cables for people who have older tvs and no wifi.

Overall, I like it but there are a couple of issues. First, I keep it turned off until use. It comes on much quicker than my previous model but when trying to watch a movie on Amazon or Flixster it tells me I am not authorized. Turning the unit off then back on has fixed the problem (so far). Secondly, while watching a movie on Amazon I pressed the back button (7 seconds) and captioning started showing. Couldn't determine what I did to cause it or how to cancel it.
