Faster than my Roku 2 XD 3050R

Some apps like YouTube and Plex are a little sluggish on my other Rokus but the new 4210R Roku 2 solves that problem nicely. It includes a handy Ethernet connector (10/100) as well as WiFi. The Netflix app is the new, super-nice version. If you don't need the voice search and headphone jack in the remote, save a few bucks and get this one. It apparently has the same speed as the Roku 3.

Exactly what I want

I am not a big TV watcher so this is perfect for what I want. I love the control of choosing what I want to watch when I want to watch it. And with the amount of free channels available, I can find exactly what I'm looking for at whatever moment I am searching.

I really like the difference between the 1080 resolution of the Roku compared to the 720 resolution of the cable box. Visible even on a 32" screen.

Just purchased Roku It is every thing the website says it is. It arrived promptly and was easy-easy to install and the resolution is great.

Works well, free content poor

I had tolerated too many cable price increases and cut the cord. I thought this would be a reasonable alternative but not for me. Free movies are old and redundant. Was shocked to find you must pay to view CBS shows (its free to anyone with antenna!). If you can't get cable, this may work for you. Be prepared to pay for every cable network by season you want to watch, even old seasons. That quickly adds up. The free content is mostly loaded with adds that in some cases goon longer than the program segment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second Roku we have purchased and my second disappointment. I thought that maybe the first one was a lemon but I guess they are all the same. Sometimes we have sound and sometimes we have a picture, rarely do they occur together. Customer service was great when we did the online chat and they helped me to fix the problem. I asked if this would fix it permanently and they told me yes. Unfortunately that wasn't true. We have tried changing HDMI cables as well as plugging it into a new port on the TV. It worked for about a minute and then we were back to square one. Who wants to unplug and replug their electronic devices and troubleshoot each time they use them. I feel like such a sucker because I purchased two of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I returned this item because I could not side load apk's. It didn't support google play store. I could not load the xfinity to go app. Amazon fire allows all of this. Also I had trouble signing up because they wanted my credit card number just to install it.
