love Acon channels British tv and movies

Only have had for 2 weeks, and haven't watched cable since. Iam a british tv junkie and get so much more than on pbs,with Acorn st s tion. Sorry havent really checked to much more,but looks good esp netflix

I love everything about it. Only thing it could add is starz and Cinemax apps that are available on other systems and it'd be perfect.

Bought the roku 2 a week ago. Worked fine for a few days. Then one day when you load any movie or program there is a message that covers the screen saying "unauthorized content disabled" it would start working again if I unplugged it and plugged it back in. But today even that doesn't fix the problem. So I guess it goes back to the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Opens new viewing possibilities

I bought a Roku device a few months ago because me and my wife like to look at British shows, and other similar shows. At first, my wife was reluctant, but she recently asked me to buy another unit so we could look at it in the bedroom. I did, and both units are working great, and are allowing viewing possibilities that we never knew existed before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After I read the CNET reviews, I decided to buy Roku 2 instead of Roku 3 because I do not need audio features. I depend on captioning system.

Love it so far

Have only been using a week, but love it so far. MUCH faster downloads than my Sony smart-bluray player with the same signal -- the Sony would frequently buffer even after an automatic down-res for slow download (in the 1-2 mbs range). The Roku hasn't buffered once and everything has been in 720 res or better. Also, Sony chose not to update the YouTube app when Google recently changed access. Roku has a great YouTube app. I use it mostly for Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube, and love it so far. I'm still exploring other apps and providers. My only complaint it that I can see the possibility of watching Roku claiming too much of time!
