The search function is excellent.

I bought this a few weeks ago since my new TV didn't have "smart TV" features, and the search function is the best thing about the Roku. It's so useful to be able to search Netflix, Amazon Instant, and other services for a film (and its price) all at once. The ability to use both Pandora and Spotify through my TV is also great for parties since my computer's speakers just can't compare.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku has enhanced my television viewing experience. I have access to a variety of entertainment and educational options. Roku is also very user-friendly. I am happy I purchased Roku.

Great product - BUT....

It is true that Roku offers a multitude of choices. I had already subscribed to Netflix and Hulu and that's about all that I watch. The reason I have a streaming device is because I cut the cable cord. I don't want to spend any more money than I absolutely have to.
Roku forces you to give a credit card number while registering the product. If I had known that ahead of time I would never have purchased the product. I resent being forced to enter my number. On top of that, when I subscribe to one of the channels presented, I don't know until after I subscribe that there is a charge. I can't find a way to unsubscribe or remove it from my list.
I don't want anything that will cost me extra money.
