it was ok and not entirely what i was hoping for

I bought this a few days ago. I did like all the apps available for roku but for me I didn't like having to have a credit card on file and I came across apps that said free but it was only so many episodes free and movies you have to pay for. You still need cable of some sort so that defeated the purpose of me getting the roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Saw this at my brother's home and we bought one when we got home. We are getting used to the choices and will definitely recommend this to others.

We looked at several streaming options before purchasing the Roku2. We have had the fire stick (buffers too much), an Apple TV, smart TV and Xbox. The Roku is my favorite for its ease of use, content and features. I love the search feature. Put in any search term (actor, movie, tv show, app) and it searches multiple services to find what you're looking for. It's a great time saver. I also love the news feature. We are looking at buying a Roku 2 for every room in the house.

Finally bought the Roku 2 and so glad I did. Before, I was "streaming" to my pc but Roku and a good size tv screen are much better for viewing Netflix and Acorn.

The Roku was SO simple to set up!!! And the available channels is amazing!! I want to get rid of my satellite TV and get Roku on every TV in the house. I am a believer and a faithful user now!!!!

the only dislike I have is that while I'm into a season of some series it stops to ask if I'm still watching. But otherwise I think this is the greatest thing since cable which I gladly gave up.
