The first Roku player I purchased several years ago was a Roku 2 XS. It was purchased as a refurbished model and it was, and still is, amazing. Since then I have purchased the new Roku 2, Roku 3 and several more Roku 2 XS models. Currently I run a large Plex Media server and distribute Roku players to friends and family as gifts. Roku was one of the first platforms to support the Plex application and it runs the best on Roku platforms. I applaud Roku for supporting third-party and independent application developers. I feel this add great value to these devices!

Roku helped me "cut the cord"

I was a little nervous to get rid of cable TV, but an HD antennae and Roku have made the transition seamless. Roku'so menu is easy to navigate and the choices seem endless.

Better than Rokuha

I bought this to replace the original Roku device, which never worked on my TV; sound but no picture. Anyway, the Roku 2 worked but there is no shut off, that I can find. I notice that it gets hot, once I unplugged it and it took a very long time to restart. Other than that, I am happy with all the streaming selections tat are available with my Roku.

Fast

I've owned the Roku 2 for a bout a month and couldn't be happier. Before, it took a long time to get Netflix connected and running. With Roku, I get to my shows quicker and easier, plus so many other choices. Thanks. Probably will upgrade to Roku 3 or 4 before long.

Easy install and fast streaming

I've had the roku 2 for about 2 weeks now. It's been fast and reliable, easy to install, and provides all the HBO and Showtime shows that I've missed recently. After I've binged watched a few shows, I look forward to exploring the other features and channels.

I purchase the Roku 2 a month ago, i have since cancelled my cable service, anything i need or want to watch i can get on Roku!!!
