Great features - this is my second Roku!

I purchased my second Roku a month ago. It's got the faster processor than the original one I purchased. I can't believe they could make a better Roku - I was thrilled with the first one. It's super easy to set up and I don't even watch live TV anymore because I can get all the tv shows and movies I want on Roku.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Top of the food chain

IMO the Roku is still top of the food chain in streaming media players. The only think I think that could make it substantially better. A mini keyboard on the remote so you can search faster. (I use the web for adding content to my Netflix watch list as it's just 100% easier / faster)

I recently purchased a smart tv only to find out that it had a measly selection of channels. Having already been spoiled by having a Roku 1 for our other tv, I promptly went to the store and picked up one for my new "smart" tv. I couldn't be happier! The channel selection is outstanding and even with the channels I subscribe to its still way less expensive than cable!

Roku 2 Rocks!

This is our second Roku box, and I have to say that the Roku 2 is a big improvement over our older box. I really like the fact that I can use a wired internet connection. It loads shows super fast, and the menus make everything easy to navigate. This is a great choice for replacing cable (which is what we did).

I bought this to replace a Roku 1 that I took to a nursing home for my wife to use. The Roku 2 has one feature that I wish the Roku 1 had, but I'm not willing to trade for the one I took for my wife to use.

Who needs satellite or cable TV?

So many channels and so much programming available, most of it free. You do need a fast internet connection like cable internet (not cable TV) in order to stream TV content. I have had a Roku 3 for a couple years and decided to get an additional Roku 2 for my bedroom TV. If you want a game playing remote or want a headphone plugged into the remote, then get the Roku 3, otherwise get the Roku 2.

Bought this on the recommendation of my daughter who was tired of hearing how frustrated I was trying to stream Netflix through my DVD player. What a difference Roku has made. Super duper easy to install and get up and running and the remote is so easy to use - only a few buttons to choose from makes it much easier for me!
