great extension

Bought a roku two to fill in the entertainment for the front room. We have our computers and tv for our room but this made it easier to hang out in the living space

HDCP errors

I bought this after using multiple AppleTVs and a FireTV and a FireTV stick. The system seemed pretty nice, the interface was somewhere between the AppleTV and the FireTV. The only real issue was recurring HDCP error messages that have been well documented and discussed. The stand "fix" is to replace your cables or check your TV or receiver as that is where the problem supposedly is. I don't buy that as mentioned above I have other media devices as well as a PS3, an Xbox 360 and a Wii U and none of those devices have any trouble at all with HDCP connectivity. This has been a known issue for quite some time and there has been no changes to the Roku. I ended up returning the Roku and went back to the FireTV and all is well now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good overal product except if get in wrong set up category. ie sign into kids by mistake and try to get back to adult section is a real hassle. No directions on how to do it so just keep punching buttons til it happens!

The only thing I hate about my Roku is that I didn't find out about it sooner. I have always wanted to watch streaming on my big screen tv rather than sitting in a desk chair watching on the computer or on my mini IPad in bed at night. I loved the one in the living room so much I bought one for my bedroom as well. I go to sleep every night watching streamed tv or movies on my big screen tv rather than on the little IPad screen.
I also enjoy the many channel choices they give you on the Roku. They offer so much. It is one of the best finds I have made in a long while.
