Good But Not Perfect

Buffering is largely nonexistent except for fast-forward/rewind thumbnails, which often take about 30 seconds to load. Some displayed channel information hard to read at about an 8-foot viewing distance. Remote seems to work well as does the app for smartphones. Casting works well.

Just as good the second time

This is my second Roku. Have a 3 and Love it. So does everyone else in the house so I purchased a firestick to watch MLB games in my home office. The stick worked fine on all but MLB advising needed more band width to show the game and kept shutting down. When I saw the price of The Roku 2 I jumped on it and now I can watch MLB or anything else on Roku in my home office and give the fire stick to the kids. Considering the lack of quality in todays movies I do not stream any but there are enough BBC shows to last my lifetime. The Roku is so very easy to set up once you decide on a password.

I have the Roku 2 xs and it's such a great alternative to cable. Well worth the buy, especially with Hulu, Netflix and YouTube available

I've had the 1 for about 3 years now and this one is SO much better. Love the fact I can set my sleep timer on my tv and know that the Roku won't keep playup my all through the night.

Exactly what I expected, but faster

I originally owned the Roku 2 XS (old Roku 2) and was unhappy with the performance. It also had stability issues. I subsequently upgraded to the Roku 3 (old Roku 3) and was thrilled with the performance. I purchased the new 2015 Roku 2 as an upgrade from the (old) Roku 3. I'm thrilled. It works just as well, but everything is faster! The new remote form factor on the 2 is pleasant, less bulky.
My primary use is as a Plex client, and the new 2015 Roku 2 shines in this department.
The only complaint I have is the naming. You can see from my review above that it's confusing... I'll get over that :)

A Must-Have for Cutting the Cord

I bought this to be the ONLY interface to all my media and over-the-air TV and it is working out amazingly. I paired this with a universal remote and now I only need that remote to watch Live TV, all my media and all my streaming channels.
