NOT ready to replace cable and satellite

I bought the Roku hoping to replace my DISH satellite but Roku is not ready to do that yet. I wanted local channels and national CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, TNT, TBS, USA, and SHO. I can only get CBS and SHO easily if I pay for them. I could not get the others. I could get several "channels" that I did not interest me. I am returning to get my full 30-day money back refund.

Insufficient/outdated FREE movies and TV shows.

Loved the technology and thought behind it all. Wanted to use this as my FREE addition to cable. Searched endlessly for FREE movies and everything was outdated and horrible to be honest. I returned my unit.

Cannot add Netflix or other apps

I am currently living abroad and have a netflix account which i cannot use since Roku keeps saying I cannot add apps thru the web to my region and this app as well as many others are not available directly in Roku. Pretty much an useless device if i cannot add the most common streaming ups.

We have 2 Roku 3, and were very happy and we received a replacement unit bcos Samsung stopped Dish world app on our smart TV. Very disappointed with Roku 2 very slow remote is not easy to use.

HARD to add passwrd & PAY FOR each channel

There is no difference in this and cable or Dish/Direct. You end up PAYING a load of cash ending up paying more than if you get regular pay TV. HARD to sinc up with computer to install password. Have to flip back and forth several times just to change channels. HATE THIS.

I subscribed to SlingTV and got this for free and - wow! The picture quality improved immensely! The remote has hot buttons for my 4 favorite channels. I love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku-2 Great Streaming Device

This is my second Roku 2. My original is an Angry Birds edition (red with bird emblem on top). 10 times better than the Apple TV I own. Many more channels. It's like comparing the iPhone to my S6 edge, in my opinion Android is just so much more customizable than ios and so is the Roku over the Apple TV. Great price, many channels to add, customizable wallpaper, it Rocks!! I rarely have any issue with streaming my customized content.
