Faster Than My BluRay

Since it is always on, it loads Netflix faster than my BluRay player (Samsung), which I had been using to stream movies and music. It works well and is easy to set up if you connect directly to your TV (Sony Bravia). However, if you use a digital audio/video receiver (as I do: Denon), the connections are a bit more complicated and require setting up the Roku as a new input. Two minor complaints: 1) Roku 2 has no display so you can't tell how along you are in a streamed film or Pandora tune, 2) You cannot turn it off.

Easy to use

I have 3 which I got so I wouldn't need cable boxes you pay for every month and never own. I love them. They are easy to use and not only access the programs I had with cable, but a lot of programs I didn't have before like those on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Roku 2 is a real bargain

I had Roku years ago and Netflix, it was slow and the picture quality was marginal. I recently signed up for Amazon Prime mainly for the free shipping. Since I had access to programming, I decided to try Roku again, what a major difference, it is very fast and the picture quality is excellent. I purchased Roku 2 as the speed is the same as the Roku 3 and I did not want a head set.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Its not going to replace cable

If your thinking of replacing cable with this don't think about it. It may have 1000's of channels but most of them require a cable subscription or they have there own subscription. Most of the channels that are free I wouldn't be interested in. I could have watched my Netflix thru my DVD Blu-Ray player and watched Google Movies thru my pc via HDMI port which does not pause to buffer like Roku 2 (latest Version)
