This is my 2nd Roku. I much prefer the older Roku. The remote works a lot better on the older one. Now I have to point the remote at the Roku. The older one is rf and is MUCH more responsive.

Works well but not really worth the price

We bought this unit to try to lower our cable cost. The unit was ok but we took it back. By the time we found the channels we wanted and paid the package prices, it was about the same price as cable. A lot of the shows we wanted to watch were a year behind if they were free. If you wanted to stay current it cost even more money. When we were watching already available shows the commercial breaks would cause the unit to have to buffer. I have a very fast internet connection and have no problems with any other devices, so I know it's not my connection.
Overall I was disappointed with the whole package. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Worth the savings of canceling cable. Cheaply made compared to iTV and remote is difficult. Must push buttons several times extra hard for it to respond. Is only compatible with Android products. But eventually you can find something to watch. It's fine.

Every few days, I have to remove Netflix, and add it back. Perhaps this company can get it together.

much faster than my classic Roku

My old Roku was beginning to lose the wireless signal, so I upgraded. Not only does the wireless always work, but streaming is much faster and easier--no more waiting for the program to stream. I guess this is because of more memory. Also, I can add even more memory if needed by putting in a microSD card. I found the changeover to the new interface a little challenging, but have that figured out now. My only criticism is the new interface is somewhat intrusive, trying to sell new channels and programs. I'd prefer that I click on the New Programs section if I want to know what's available.

Could use better instructions

Once properly set up my Roku is working very well. However, as a non-Techie, I could not get it to work following the instructions included. It took my son-in-law explaining the need to enter the TV settings on my TV to select the proper input. Nowhere in the instructions was this mentioned.

Nothing wrong with the device, but it doesn't cast the apps that I wanted. Had it not been for that I would have kept it.

Sacrificed features for speed. Where is Bluetooth?
