It's AWESOME

I have only had traditional cable my whole life but decided I was FED UP with the constant over charges and terrible customer service. My wife and I cancelled our cable on a whim one day, ordered our ROKU, and have never looked back. It's incredibe.

Really like the Roku!

I bought this to stream teaching from a ministry that makes available all its TV videos. I thought I could D/C my TWC TV cable and just stream through the Internet. I can do that...but in talking with TWC I still had to keep my TV service plan for their Roku app to view some channels. I will search out the free apps simply to keep my bill down. I'm not interested in HBO or showtime or Netflex although paying their monthly fee is not bad if you like their movies. Setting up the Roku didn't include the instruction of pressing the "input" button to change the incoming signal from cable to HDMI. I had to discover that. It does take some playing with the remote to figure out how to add channels, but I like it and it's worth the investment to lower my bills and view what I want. Cable is very overpriced when you may watch 5-8 channels with 200 available.

I am very happy with my Roku purchase. We never watched cable at home, and only watched shows/movies on our ipads via Netflix, Amazon, etc. We got rid of cable and got the Roku. It's nice being able to watch shows/movies on our big screen tv. I've also discovered shows I would have never watched on regular cable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who never watches cable anymore.
