Overall very good, but missing a few features

Functions perfectly, but I thought at least two main components were missing. First, it does not have a power button or anything so you can't turn it off. Sometimes I find it getting very hot so I have to unplug it to let it cool down. Second, it does not have a sleep feature. I do not want this to eat the data up when I use sleep mode on the TV.

We are lovung our roku 2. Was quick and easy to setup initially. It runs very smooth. We bought it for watching pureflix and found we love many of the channels offered. We do not have cable and the roku 2 has vastly increased what we can watch without it. We love it so much that hubby wants one for the bedroom. I use the roku app as a remote. The on screen keyboard really helps the experience and now we dont have to fight over the remote. Thanks roku!

Great features

I am still getting use to using. However when I first started using it everything was OK but the last several movies I tried to watch I could not continue to watch as the movies kept loading then a few frames of the movies and kept repeating. Got so annoyed I could not finish watching the movies. Don't understand this problem and could not find out why it was happening

Streams very well

I originally purchased 2 Sony Blueray players to stream from internet. But w/i
a couple weeks, both stopped connecting to wifi, therefore no streaming. I returned both and purchased 2 Roku 2's. They have worked w/o any problems.

Better than cable

It's fast and easy to use. I would like to see a power button and a remote that I can program to my tv so I only have one remote. The usb cable that you can buy will allow it turn on or off with the tv but still have to have a tv remote for volume. I like that you can watch what you want when you want!

Love my new Roku 2

I have two older Rokus that I have been using for awhile and they're great, an HD and an XS I think. The Roku 2, you can tell the difference right away, it's faster. I like the new remote, but I do wonder why every Roku seems to have a different kind of remote... I also have an Apple TV box I was given. With the Roku, I pick my channels. With the Apple TV, Apple picks my channels. I'm an American. I pick my channels...

Excellent alternative to cable!

Since receiving my Roku 2 I've been able to watch some of my favorite tv shows and movies. All it takes is an internet connection and a couple subscriptions like netflix and sling tv, which still totals for less per month than getting the average cable package.
I would recommend this to a friend!
