I miss the older remote.

Basically same great experience but I miss the remote from older editions. This remote has to be pointed directly at device. My roku 3 doesn't need this.

Great for the price

It lives up to the expectations. I bout it to watch Netflix on and it works just great, loads fast and good quality. Had many other features as well like YouTube and other various channels you can add. Great product for the price. Love that I can use my smartphone as a remote as well.

The new Roku works great, but the new remote sucks. Doesn't have the range my old one did. I have to stand close to the unit to make it work. Have changed batteries twice and new batteries made no difference.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The menu is very quick and responsive, hard to find channels I like, but otherwise very good player, had no problems yet

With the Time Warner app it is a reasonable alternative to the cable box. Only pay for channels you watch, not bloated packages.
