Roku 2 is far better than Roku 1. We are satisfied as of now but I hope they don't spoil Roku 2 also.

Great streaming but runs hot

This streamer has very quick menus and is a great viewing experience when streaming. My only misgiving is the heat it puts off. It is so hot it is uncomfortable to the touch. I would not put this inside a cabinet. I am concerned for the longevity of the device due to the heat.

I wanted to get away from cable and was led to believe that Roku was the answer. It's not now, maybe in the future, but not now. It operates fine, there are just way too many channels married to cable at this point.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased a Roku 2 several years ago, but due to work, I never got around to hooking it up before now. I hooked it up and loved it so much, I purchased another one for my bedroom. I would purchase another one if I needed it.
